As we enter into a new year, I thought it would be an encouragement to look at some Truths about our Lord. The world is full of false truths and lies. It’s encouraging to me to find even in the midst of false hope a Hope then remains True forever. I pray that this encourages your walk and draws you closer to Christ!
The Lord is Good.
“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
Psalms 100:5
The saying is God is good all their time and all the time God is good. In all honesty, the Lord is beyond good. He is the best option. He is great. The Lord is Good.
The Lord is Powerful.
“The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.”
Psalms 29:4
A characteristic that is a common want in our society is power. People want power. Have you ever stopped to think that the Lord you serve and love for us is powerful? With this power comes majesty.
“Majesty
Kingdom Authority
Flow from His throne
Unto His own
His anthem raise”
What a declaration!
The Lord is Powerful.
The Lord is Trustworthy.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust. So many people struggle with trust. Sometimes we set ourselves up by trusting in the wrong things only to find ourselves broken and defeated. It’s not that way with our Lord!
The Lord is Trustworthy.
The Lord is Freedom.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
So many today live in fear and bondage. The enemy loves to surround people with this tactic and he does this well. His time is running out though. Grasp in the Freedom that Jesus provides! The Lord is Freedom.
The Lord is Faithful.
“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.”
2 Thessalonians 3:3
People will fail one another but I believe that doesn’t come from the Lord. I know those that read this can probably share a time when the Lord has been faithful in your life. I challenge you that are reading this to share about how the Lord has been faithful in your life with someone this very week. Glory!
The Lord is Faithful.
The Lord is Hope.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13
Hope. That’s an area that I believe a lot of people are searching for. His hope overflows and is worthy of our praise. This world brings zero hope. My hope is not of this world. It lies and rests in Christ!
The Lord is Hope.
The Lord never changes.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8
Wow. To think that there is One that really is the same always might be hard to comprehend but that is incredible! No one else in your life is like this. We change at the moment. Christ doesn’t. Let that sink in.
The Lord never changes.
There are so many Truths about our Lord. May these and many others be a reminder to us as we enter 2023. May we live our lives in such a way that points people, not to us, but to our Lord! All glory to Christ!
