First Baptist Church of Joplin, Missouri, is prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor to lead our congregation. We are a mid-sized, multi-generational Southern Baptist church committed to evangelizing our community through service and discipling believers in their walk with Christ.
 
The ideal candidate will hold a seminary degree and/or have at least ten years of pastoral experience. We seek a gifted shepherd who is devoted to preaching and teaching God’s Word, provides strong administrative leadership, and leads with wisdom, humility, and vision.

The Children’s Minister will oversee evangelism and discipleship programs for children in first through fifth grade, ensuring alignment with the church's doctrine, purpose, and vision. The role also includes indirect oversight of the preschool ministry, working closely with the preschool leader. Responsibilities involve leading Sunday services for children, coordinating regular Wednesday evening services, and managing special events such as seasonal activities, summer camps, VBS, and other ministry-driven events throughout the year.
