First Baptist Church of Joplin offers a scholarship opportunity for students attending college in the fall of 2026/spring of 2027. Scholarships are awarded for one academic year, with renewal applications required annually. All scholarships are subject to review by the Scholarship Committee and may change without notice. Priority is given to applicants who have not previously received the scholarship, with a maximum eligibility of two years.

Applicants must be current members of First Baptist Church of Joplin and must submit their application by March 15, 2026, for consideration. To apply, complete the application and return it to the church office in person, by mail to 4128 S. Connecticut Ave., Joplin, MO 64804 (ATTN: Scholarship Fund), or by emailing a PDF to jodie@firstjoplin.org.

Applicants must also submit three letters of reference from individuals representing academic, religious, civic, or organizational involvement, along with a brief statement addressing financial need, academic goals, commitment to college, and the role of Christ in their life.
