First Baptist Church of Joplin offers a scholarship opportunity for students attending college in the fall of 2025/spring 2026. Scholarships are awarded for one year, with renewal applications required annually. All scholarships are subject to review by the scholarship committee and may change without notice. Priority is given to applicants who have not previously received the scholarship, with a maximum eligibility of two years. Applicants must be current members of First Baptist Church of Joplin and must submit their application by March 30 for consideration. To apply, complete the application and return it to the church office in person, by mail at 4128 S Connecticut Ave, Joplin, MO 64804, or by emailing a PDF to churchoffice@firstjoplin.org. Applicants must also provide three letters of reference from individuals representing academic, religious, civic, or organizational involvement, along with a short statement on financial need, academic goals, commitment to college, and the importance of Christ in their life.
