Sunday, October 4
🎁 Operation Christmas Child Begins
Operation Christmas Child boxes will be available to pick up in the Lobby beginning Sunday. Fill a box and help share the love of Jesus with a child around the world! Boxes are due back by November 8.
We’ll also have a photo booth set up where you and your family can take a photo to include in your box.
🎄 Christmas Dessert Theater Interest Meeting
Christmas Dessert Theater is coming back! Whether you’re interested in acting, singing, serving in the kitchen, or helping host, there’s a place for you.
Join us for a quick interest meeting after second service in the East Room.

🎃 First Monday: Pumpkin Everything
Ladies, come enjoy a night of all things fall! We’ll paint pumpkins and enjoy a spread of our favorite fall foods.
Bring a fall-themed dish to share. Childcare will be available.
Saturday, October 10 | 7:30am
🛠️ First Men Day of Service
Men, spend the morning serving our community alongside other guys from First Joplin.
We’ll meet at the church at 7:30am for a light breakfast before heading out to serve. Sign up at the Welcome Center.
Sunday, October 11
🍕 Middle School Pizza Ranch Fellowship
Middle schoolers, we’re heading to Pizza Ranch after second service! The cost is $25, which includes lunch and a $20 game card. We plan to return to the church around 2:45pm.
🔥 Connect College & Other Adventures Bonfire
Connect College & Other Adventures will gather for a bonfire and cookout at the Youngs’ home at 6pm. Come hang out, eat some good food, and enjoy the evening together!
🍬 TRUNK OR TREAT | OCTOBER 25
Sunday, October 25 | 3–5pm
Trunk or Treat is one of our biggest opportunities each year to welcome and serve our community. Last year, more than 1,000 people came onto our campus, many of whom were not connected to a church.
This year, we want to welcome even more, and you can help make it happen!
🚗 HOST A TRUNK OR BOOTH
This doesn’t have to be complicated! Park your car, open your trunk, and run a simple game. We even have easy games available for you to use. Bring a lawn chair, enjoy the afternoon, and be a friendly face to the families coming through our campus. It only takes two people to run a trunk or booth!
🚦 SECURITY & PARKING
Help guests know where to park, keep traffic moving, and help us maintain a safe environment throughout the afternoon.
👋 REGISTRATION
Help welcome families as they arrive, hand out registration cards, and help us collect information so we can stay connected with guests after the event. We’ll have raffle prizes available as an incentive for families who register.
🌭 FOOD
We’ll be serving free hot dogs, popcorn, and bottled water. We need a team to help grill, package, and serve food throughout the afternoon.
🍭 CANDY. LOTS OF CANDY.
And we mean lots! We’ve had more than 1,000 people come through our campus in years past, which means we need plenty of candy to keep those trunks stocked. Candy donations can be dropped off in the bins located in the Lobby.
🎤 SPECIAL GUEST: DILLON CHASE
We’re also excited to welcome Christian hip-hop artist Dillon Chase to this year’s Trunk or Treat!
And the fun doesn’t stop there. We’ll also host a Trunk or Treat at Michigan Place on Wednesday, October 28.

2027 BUDGET INFORMATION
Beginning Sunday, October 25, copies of the proposed 2027 Budget will be available at the Welcome Center.
Sunday, November 1 | 5pm
We’ll gather for a Thanksgiving-themed potluck and a time of worship at 5pm, followed by our Quarterly Business Meeting and Budget Discussion at 6pm.
Sunday, November 8
We will have our yes/no ballot vote on the proposed 2027 budget following both morning services.

Our 2027 Beautiful Feet mission trip is scheduled for February 19–21, 2027!
Registration opens October 18, so be watching for more information soon about how you can be part of the trip.
