Celebrate Easter With Us – Here’s What’s Coming
Who are you bringing to Easter this year?
Easter week is almost here, and we would love for you to celebrate with us—and bring someone with you—to First Baptist Joplin.
It’s a great opportunity to invite a friend, neighbor, or family member to join you as we look forward to a meaningful and exciting week together.

HOSANNA! – Palm Sunday
Sunday, March 29
9:00 AM & 10:30 AM (identical services)
Come kick off Easter week as we celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem with powerful worship and a message of hope.
Our First Littles and First Kids will be singing their Easter songs during both services!
• Kids participating should meet in the Worship Center 15 minutes before each service
Children’s activities are available for birth through 5th grade.

Fred Theater & Church Fellowship
Sunday, March 29 (following morning services)
Join us in the Worship Center for a special afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun for the whole family!
Lunch Details:
• Church-provided: pulled pork, fried chicken, and hot dogs for the kids
• Please bring a side or dessert to share
• Drop off food in the kitchen that morning
-Warmers available for hot items
-Crockpots can be plugged in on the counter
-Refrigeration available for cold dishes
After we enjoy lunch and time together:
• A special Fred Theater presentation led by Ms. Charity and her team, bringing the story of Holy Week to life in a fun and engaging way
• A closing word from Pastor John as we prepare our hearts for Easter
• An outdoor Easter Egg Hunt for babies through elementary-aged kids following Fred Theater
It’s a full afternoon designed to help our church family connect and celebrate together—another great opportunity to invite someone to join you.

IT IS FINISHED – Good Friday Service
Friday, April 3
7:00 PM
Join us for a meaningful night of worship and reflection as we remember the sacrifice of Jesus. We’ll observe communion and reflect on the cross together.
Pastor John will also kick off a new series, “Follow Me,” beginning this night and continuing on Easter Sunday.
Children’s activities are available for birth through Pre-K.

Sunday, April 5
9:00 AM & 10:30 AM (identical services)
Come celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with us! This is a powerful morning of worship as we rejoice in our risen Savior.
We will continue Pastor John’s new series, “Follow Me.”
Children’s activities are available for birth through 5th grade.
We encourage you again to invite someone to join you for this special day!

A Couple of Helpful Notes for Easter Sunday:
• We’re expecting a full house! If you’re able, we encourage our church family to attend the 9:00 AM service to help make room for guests at 10:30 AM.
• If possible, please park in the north gravel lot or front lawn area (our parking team will help guide you) to reserve closer spaces for guests and those who may need easier access.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
Our church goal for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is $10,000, and we’re currently at $3,670.
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering supports the North American Mission Board, and 100% of every gift goes directly to the mission field.
You can give:
• In person (mark your gift “Annie Armstrong”)
• Online at firstjoplin.org/annie
Our kids are also joining in! They have a goal of $100, and if they reach it by Easter, Miss Olivia has a surprise planned.
