Trip Details & GuidelinesWe want everyone to arrive ready to serve and have a safe, meaningful weekend together. If you’re joining us for Beautiful Feet, please review these important trip details before we leave.
Team AssignmentsEveryone will be assigned to a specific ministry or work area for the weekend. Assignments may include:
- Children’s Ministry
- Street Ministry
- Construction
- Food Team at Beautiful Feet
- Clothing Ministry
Once assigned, please stay with your team and serve in that area. If you need to change assignments for any reason, talk with your Job Supervisor. They can help get you reassigned at the Job Trailer.
If you are unable to safely complete your assigned job, let your team leader know as soon as possible.
Staying SafeWe’ll be serving and interacting directly with people experiencing homelessness throughout the weekend. Be friendly, respectful, and aware of your surroundings.
Please look out for one another, especially during street ministry and other public interactions. Do not allow anyone from our team to become isolated or cornered during a conversation. If you see a situation becoming uncomfortable, step in and help create space.
Participants should never leave Beautiful Feet or Victoria en Cristo unless they are with a Mission Team Leader.
Anyone under 18 will be identified for our team leaders so appropriate supervision can be maintained throughout the trip.
Serving GuidelinesAs we serve, please keep these guidelines in mind:
- Do not give money directly to individuals.
- Do not make promises or commitments you cannot personally fulfill.
- Stay with your assigned team and follow the direction of your team leader.
- Treat everyone we meet with dignity, kindness, and respect.
- If you have questions or encounter a situation you’re unsure how to handle, find a team leader.
