The Christmas Season is upon us, it truly does seem to come quicker and quicker each year. We all know the reality. . . with the busyness of the season, and all that comes with it, it is easy to get weighed down by the demand that the season puts on us. The shopping, the cooking, the parties, the wrapping of gifts, and anything else that may get thrown our way, it is hard sometimes not to lose the sense of awe and wonder that can come with the Christmas season.
As I get older, I find myself more and more captivated by the way Jesus entered the world. I am unsure if it is because as a young child our focus is around gifts, or if it is simply just being captivated by the plan that God designed to save us. Who would have thought that an infant in a manger would be the foundation of the hope for humanity, the catalyst that would change the course of history forever? Forever! Not just a few years, not just a few decades, FOREVER! That is why we celebrate, because of the manger we can have the hope and the future that Jeremiah 29:11 tells us about.
The King of Kings stepped down from his throne to enter the world and change my life, your life, forever. My hope and prayer is that through the busyness of this season, and whatever we may find ourselves doing, we will never lose the sense and wonder, and the truth, that comes with the birth of our Savior, Jesus. I hope you have the best Christmas season ever, and I hope and pray that you find the peace, and joy, that only Jesus can bring this Christmas season.
Merry Christmas,
